A handsome antique Georgian mahogany cheese coaster, dating from the early 19th century. The coaster features a deeply curved crescent-shaped cradle, with raised shaped sides terminating in turned scroll handles. Raised on a moulded rectangular plinth base, the mahogany has developed a warm, rich colour and attractive patina through age and use.
