Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Wooden duck decoys were traditionally hand-carved by hunters and craftsmen to lure waterfowl during hunting seasons, eventually evolving into a distinct category of American and European folk art.

Authentic period pieces are typically carved from buoyant local woods such as white pine, cedar, or balsa, featuring hollow or solid bodies weighted with lead ballast and finished with hand-painted layers of oil-based pigments.

Authenticity is determined by examining tool marks, genuine oxidisation of the paint, weight distribution, and makers marks or stamps often found on the underside of the base.

These pieces function well as sculptural accents on bookshelves, mantelpieces, or side tables, adding an organic element to rustic, traditional, or transitional design schemes.

Preservation requires maintaining stable indoor humidity levels, keeping the object out of direct sunlight to prevent paint fading, and dusting gently with a dry, soft cloth without using chemical cleaners.
