Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A library telescope is a desktop optical refracting instrument produced primarily during the 19th and early 20th centuries for terrestrial and astronomical observation from private studies or observatories.

These scientific instruments were constructed using drawn polished brass for the optical tubes, ground glass lenses, and cast iron or brass for the supportive tripod pillars.

Authentic Broadhurst Clarkson telescopes typically feature maker engravings near the eyepiece collar, rack-and-pinion focusing controls, and heavy cast iron or brass bases with cabriole tripod feet.

Place the telescope on an oak desk, sideboard top, or deep window sill within a dedicated study or living area to create an intriguing focal point alongside leather-bound books and globe accessories.

Dust the barrel regularly with a soft microfibre cloth, avoid abrasive brass cleaners that strip original lacquer, and clean glass lenses gently using dedicated optical cleaning solutions.
