Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this exquisite Victorian circa 1880 revolving flamed mahogany with hand dyed brown leather top “Rent” table.

This is an exceptionally fine piece of antique furniture indeed. The originals date back to the late 18th century circa 1780 and retail around the £40,000 mark, this is a mid-Victorian piece so approximately 80 years later. It is very finely made with flamed mahogany; the hand dyed brown leather top has a wonderful patination. The table rotates as mentioned and has the traditional drop box in the top for depositing “The rent”.

In terms of the condition, we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be normal age and use related marks here and there, mostly it’s in very fine order throughout.
