Description

A large early 19th century Regency six drawer writing table of fine, faded patina (colour).

This writing table consists of a finely tooled black leather top surrounded by a mahogany crossbanded edge with ebony line.

This leads down to three drawers to each side, the central drawer of larger proportion, with two dummy drawers to each end. The oak lined drawers consist of mahogany veneers to the front with ebonised cockbeads, brass lion mask knob handles and brass escutcheons.

Each corner block having a chamfered edge leading down to the tapered turned and ebonised legs terminating with finely cast brass hairy paw feet.

This writing table is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
