Regency Lacquered 'brighton Pavilion' Torchere Stand

A stylish Regency lacquered ''Brighton Pavilion'' torchere stand; the octagonal Chinoiserie top depicting a scene of figures in a landscape with pavilions, having a carved and open fret angled gallery decorated to simulate bamboo. Raised on a turned tapering column with gilded flutes terminating with gilt acanthus leaves and reeded collars. Raised on slender swept legs with line decoration and retaining their original brass box castors.

Good condition, the top sound with a slight craquelure finish commensurate of age and use
