Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Introduced in the 1910s, Wedgwood lustreware was designed by Susannah Margaretta Daisy Makeig-Jones and featured complex glazes, iridescent metallic finishes, and detailed gilding inspired by Art Nouveau and early Art Deco styles.

These pieces were crafted from fine bone china or ceramic, coated in specialised metallic oxide glazes, and subjected to multiple kiln firings to achieve reflective colour effects alongside hand-applied gold leaf decoration.

Authentic examples bear impressed or printed Wedgwood factory marks on the base, frequently accompanied by hand-painted pattern codes starting with the letter Z and fine line gilding.

A bowl of this nature functions as a decorative accent on a mantelpiece, coffee table, or inside a glazed display cabinet to reflect natural and artificial ambient light.

Clean gently using a soft dry microfiber cloth or mild liquid soap in lukewarm water, avoiding chemical polishers, abrasive sponges, and prolonged soaking to protect the delicate gilding.
