This Edwardian stained glass panel dates from 1900 and comes set within a light pine wood frame. The composition incorporates multicoloured leaded glass in shades of blue, amber, red, and green alongside textured pattern glass and geometric lead cames. A central hand-painted landscape tile depicts a countryside scene with a tree, a lake, and a boat. The panel features a quatrefoil central detail and arched red glass framing the central pictorial tile. It measures 100 cm in height and 30 cm in width. This piece is suitable for architectural installation within an interior wall, as a hanging window display, or incorporated into cabinetry within an English Country House setting to diffuse light through coloured glass panes.

Turn-of-the-century leaded glass panels frequently combine geometric coloured glass borders with hand-painted enamel tiles or central scenes, reflecting the transition from ornate Victorian design to the cleaner lines of the Edwardian era.

These panels were constructed by fitting individual pieces of coloured, textured, or painted glass into channels of H-shaped lead cames, which were then soldered at the intersections and sealed with waterproofing compound.

Authentic period glass displays natural surface irregularities, subtle air bubbles or seeds within the glass, dark oxidisation on the lead cames, and fired enamel painting rather than modern printed transfers.

Decorative panels can be suspended inside timber frames in front of existing windows to catch natural daylight, installed into interior transom openings, or integrated into custom lightboxes to serve as architectural wall features.

Clean leaded glass using soft, lint-free cloths lightly dampened with distilled water, avoiding harsh chemical sprays or ammonia-based cleaners that can damage fragile enamel paint and original lead putty.
