Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

The Welsh Tailor and his wife riding goats was a popular satirical theme in 18th-century European ceramics, originating at the Meissen factory before being widely produced by English makers such as Derby and Bow.

English factories of this era produced soft-paste porcelain, decorated using hand-applied overglaze enamel pigments and finished with mercury gilding on moulded scroll bases.

Authentic period pieces often feature patch marks on the underside base, hand-painted factory marks, finely modelled detail, visible wear to gilding, and typical soft-paste porcelain weight and glaze characteristics.

Figurines can be placed symmetrically on a fireplace mantelpiece, integrated within a curated bookshelf display, or positioned atop a sideboard alongside contemporary art to create historical contrast.

Clean gently using a soft brush or microfibre cloth, avoiding harsh liquid cleaners or soaking which can damage cold-painted restoration, delicate enamels, and original gold gilding.
