An excellent quality early 19th century Pair of English FLINTLOCK PISTOLS by T. Richards of London. These pretty “overcoat” pistols feature round smoothbore turn-off barrels, with marks of the test bench; boxlock type frames signed T. Richards and London on the flags; the upper hammer with secure lock and solid walnut butts. Good condition. Length: 14cms. Priced for the Pair.
*Theophilus RICHARDS was a successful, influential and talented gunmaker of the early 19th century, who is recorded making guns under his own name from 1799, retiring from his businesses in 1825.
