Antique Edwardian Mahogany Inlaid Kidney Shaped Serving Tray
A lovely antiquity in superb condition.
We bring to you this exceptional condition antique Edwardian (circa 1900) solid Mahogany serving tray.
The very elegant tray features a marquetry inlaid Satinwood and Boxwood shell kidney in a kidney shaped border to the centre. The tray is complete with a Mahogany bent up-stand which follows the kidney shape of the trays base. The tray is in fantastic original condition throughout featuring its original highly glazed French polished finish with a lovely rich Mahogany colour which is virtually unmarked. The bottom of this tray is also even nicely polished and has green baize also in kidney shapes to protect table surfaces. We have just waxed this item to protect the polish and preserve the finish.
Please note this item is in very good condition for its age but will have the odd blemish here and there, as expected with an item of this age. However, we feel that these points are which adds to the charm of the item with it being an antique.
