An exceptional quality early C19th Regency period rosewood centre table .

Raised on a concave-sided cross-banded and ebony-line inlaid triangular platform base mounted on carved Grecian-revival style feet with brass castors beneath . The broadly cross-banded circular top with an ebony strung line , the frieze of the table with corresponding ebony string inlay and fitted with a decorative gilt-brass bead .

The central carved column with a facetted upper section onto well-carved ‘Prince of Wales’ plumes and a carved gadrooned ring .

Fitted with the original gilded brass-ware ‘tipping’ mechanism on the underside of the top .

In excellent condition with a superb colour and patina. The top with minor historic marks and scratches commensurate with age, use and purpose. Evidence of historic repairs to two minor shrinkage cracks , but crucially retains it’s original surface and skin.
