Imari porcelain refers to Japanese export ceramic wares produced in the Arita region, named after the port of Imari through which they were shipped to Europe starting in the seventeenth century.

Imari ware is crafted from high-fired kaolin clay porcelain, decorated using underglaze cobalt blue followed by overglaze enamels, typically featuring iron red, orange, and gilded accents.
