Description
Late C18th George III period mahogany tripod-base table of unusual format. Square-topped tripod table fitted with a cedar-lined single drawer , probably conceived as a work-table . The single-piece top has achieved a wonderful faded, mellow colour , whilst the baluster turned column stem and tripod legs retain a richer patina. 'Scratch' cock-beading to the drawer-front , fitted with a lock and a later round knob-pull. Well-shaped supports onto pad feet. Original condition and patination. H 27" Top 12" sq. Drawer 5" deep.
