CKB Ltd Emporium & Collectables has dated this Indian Engraved Brass Charger to the 1900s.
Measuring an exceptional 57.5cm in diameter and weighing approximately 2.

The gently raised gallery incorporates a continuous pierced openwork border, finished with an attractively decorated outer rim featuring repeating foliate motifs.
A metal hanging bracket has been fitted to the reverse, allowing the tray to be displayed as a striking decorative wall feature. Its impressive size also makes it suitable as a tabletop display piece.

The brass has developed an aged patina with areas of oxidation, tarnishing, scratches and surface wear. There are several conspicuous silvery areas on the reverse that appear to represent previous repairs or surface treatment, together with some irregularities to the rim. The hanging bracket may be a later addition. Please examine the photographs carefully.
