Superb George III Mahogany Brass Bound Wine Cooler with Original Interior

Description

A fine quality George III period brass bound mahogany cellarette with segmented top, and original stand c.1780. Hexagonal form with slightly tapering sides, hinged top with superb segmented veneers to the surface, brass bound sides to the solid figured mahogany construction. Cast brass swan neck carrying handles to each side and working lock with key. Moulded edge plinth to the base with three tapering moulded front legs set below; each with the original brass castors. The hinged lid opening to reveal an original interior with lead lining and divisions to hold the bottles in place. Presented in excellent original condition with superb colour and patina.
