18th Century George III Period Mahogany Antique Wine Cooler Cellarette
£960 $1,180 €1,140
Lovely little 18th century cellarette of unusual format with cupboard below a six bottle holder with lift up lid. This cellarette is made of a great cut of mahogany with contrast stringing around the edges, carrying handles to the sides and lock and key for both storage sections. This is a useful piece which can be used for holding bottles of course, but also useful as a bedside table, a wine table or plant stand on landing or hallway. This is a very charming piece of furniture made of good timber and with great patina, it has a delicacy of form and splay legs, diamond shaped escutcheons and also has an invoice from when it changed hands in 1995 for £2000.
