Marlborough Antiques & Interiors has dated this Georgian Mahogany Wine Cellarette to the Georgian era.
Below is a useful lockable drawer, fitted with brass knob handles and retaining its key.

The cellerette is raised on four finely turned and tapering legs, while each side is fitted with a particularly decorative cast brass floral backplate and carrying ring, a handsome period detail that adds considerably to the piece.

The mahogany has developed a wonderfully warm, mellow colour with attractive figuring and the minor marks and wear associated with age and use. Both practical and decorative, this is a charming example of Georgian dining-room furniture and would work equally well today as a wine cooler, drinks stand or occasional table.
England, circa 1820.
