Description:
Design & Craftsmanship:
This elegant Art Deco nest of tables comprises a large shaped circular table, which houses four smaller “quadrant” tables, so the four small tables slide comfortably underneath the large table when not in use and can be locked in situ, by wooden swivel brackets on the underside of the large table.

Legs, Shelves & Joints:
Meanwhile, block legs support the four smaller tables, and twin shaped shelves unite these legs below, adding both extra strength and visual balance.
Original Glass Tops – A Rare Survival:
Interestingly, all five Art Deco tables still retain their original glass tops; the original metal brackets secure these tops in place and, as a result, protect the polished surfaces from scratches and water stains. It is worth pointing out that most Art Deco nests of tables have since lost their original glass tops, or time has damaged them, so this original, matching set is a genuinely rare survival.
Overall, the walnut tables display superb craftsmanship and a lovely mellow honey colour, while the curved corners, the clean lines of the tops, the choice of materials and the shape of the feet all showcase classic Art Deco styling throughout the design. ”
