A coopered oak oval unbrella stand in the form of a barrel with brass barrel hoops. There is an internal label -''BCM/OKETUB'', a Monomark address, which was a 1930s-1950s British mail forwarding and registered address system. This specific address, BCM/OKETUB London W.C.1, is frequently found on small souvenir treen barrels fashioned from the wood of historic ships, most notably HMS Ganges. These and similar nautical memorabilia were made around the 1930s. They were typically made of wood, often sourced from old warships.
