Antique French Gilt and Marble Console

Description

Elegant antique French gilt and marble console from the late 1800s.

It has its ornate gilt wood and gesso frame with its original real gilt (gold leaf). It is in the Louis XV style with lots of shell, scrolls and floral detail.

It has its lovely original scalloped, thick marble top with no chips or scratches.

In the photos it is leaning against the wall hit would look far better level, screwed into the wall through the wooden bar underneath the marble.

Highly elegant, this would look stunning in a hallway with a mirror above it perhaps.
