Impressive French Screen Divider by Paul Sormani

Description

An exquisite 19th century French four fold giltwood screen / wall panels by Paul Sormani of Paris. Each individual hand painted panel with an oval portrait of a beautiful woman in early 19th century dress, further decorated with a neoclassical trophies and flourishes. The panels are incorporated within a stunning acanthus decorated frame by Paul Sormani of Paris.

In beautiful condition, each panel has been professionally and sensitively conserved, cleaned and relined. The backing has been replaced in a very fine silk by Colefax and Fowler.

An exceptional piece of furniture AND work of art; could be displayed as a room divider/partition or even separated and hung individually as wall panels.
