Grand Tour souvenirs were miniature replicas of classical architecture and sculptures acquired by wealthy young Europeans during the 18th and 19th centuries as cultural mementoes of their travels through Italy.

These items were typically crafted using native Italian marbles such as rosso antico and marmo rosso, combined with cast bronze or brass for sculptural elements and detailing.

Authentic period pieces exhibit period-appropriate patina, hand-carved detailing in the stone, hand-chased bronze work, and natural signs of age and wear consistent with the 18th or 19th century.

This object works well as a focal point on a mantelpiece, bookshelf, or executive desk, adding historical depth and classical symmetry to both traditional and contemporary spaces.

Dust gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Avoid using water, chemical solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the delicate patination on both the stone and the metal.
