Gilt and Gesso has dated this piece to the 1900s.
Reclaimed from a period house, each column measures apx 4cm deep at the lower skirting board section, these are decorative fascias that sit against a wall which skirting boards connect to the base section.
Please note, there are 4 matching columns, albeit sold as 3 plus 1.., 1 column has been later made up, once on a wall and painted or stained it is difficult to tell apart. Whilst 3 are made from oak, the 4th is matched using ply board.
