Description

A late Georgian mahogany oval butlers tray and stand. (We believe the stand is original to the tray). The timber quality of both the stand and panel based tray is excellent as is the colour and patina. The tray has folding brass hinged sides which enables the tray to be displayed and used flat. The sides can be then raised and the tray carried using the pierced handles. The folding X framed stand has been rewebbed as the original ones were at the end of their useful life.

Open and flat the tray measures 88 cm wide and 66 cm deep.

With the sides raised it measures about 73 wide and 49 deep.

On the stand from the floor to the top of the tray base measures 70.5 cm
