This Edwardian tea trolley by Heals of London dates from around 1910 and functions as an indoor drinks or kitchen unit. Formed from solid oak in a dark brown timber colour, the piece has a rectangular profile with three tiers, each constructed from horizontal wooden slats. The middle and lower shelves include low wooden gallery rails along the edges, while all three levels connect via upright posts fitted with small decorative bracket corners. Four original large brass castor wheels sit at the base of the frame to allow free movement across floors. The construction exhibits a visible grain pattern across the wooden surfaces alongside minor signs of age and wear. Measuring 92 cm high by 71 cm wide and 40.5 cm deep, the unit fits comfortably into an empty corner of a living room, dining area or kitchen for serving and storage uses.

An Edwardian oak trolley is a mobile, multi-tiered piece of occasional furniture produced in the early 20th century, designed primarily for serving tea, food, or beverages.

These trolleys were predominantly crafted from solid oak or mahogany, incorporating mortise and tenon joinery, slatted or solid shelving, and fitted metal castors.

Authentic Heals pieces from this period feature Arts and Crafts design principles, robust oak construction, precise joinery, and occasionally a makers badge or stamped mark.

An antique trolley functions as a mobile drinks bar, a side table in a living room, or tiered storage in a dining room alcove.

Dust the surface regularly with a soft cloth and apply clear beeswax polish along the wood grain, while ensuring the metal castors remain clean and lubricated.
