These two 19th-century Neoclassical urns are shaped from Breccia Medicea marble in rich tones of purple and cream, finished with smooth polished surfaces that highlight natural stone patterns. Each vessel stands upon a stepped square base supporting a circular turned foot, rising to a deep rounded body flanked by rectangular handles. The domed lidded top carries a smooth spherical finial at the apex. Both pieces measure 34 cm high, 30 cm wide, and 30 cm deep. Such items fit well placed along the top of a large sideboard in a formal dining room or upon a pier table in a hallway.

Neoclassical marble urns are defined by symmetry, classical proportions, and inspiration drawn from ancient Roman and Greek vessels, frequently crafted from high-grade coloured marbles during the 18th and 19th centuries.

Breccia Medicea is a historic Italian brecciated marble prized for its angular clasts and rich colour variation, typically combining shades of purple, dark red, cream, and white.

Authentic pieces feature traditional hand-carving marks, hand-turned fittings or metal rod joinery, natural surface patination, and minor wear around the bases and rims consistent with age.

A pair of carved marble urns can be positioned symmetrically on a sideboard, fireplace mantelpiece, or console table to establish structure and introduce natural stone texture to a room scheme.

Dust regularly with a dry, soft cloth, and clean using warm water with a pH-neutral soap; avoid acidic or abrasive chemical cleaners that etch or dull polished marble surfaces.
