Staffordshire pottery figures refer to ceramic ornaments produced in the Staffordshire Potteries region of England, particularly during the 19th century, featuring various animals and human subjects.

These figures were typically made from earthenware or pottery, slip-cast or hand-modelled, and decorated with underglaze or overglaze hand-painted enamels, often featuring cobalt blue bases and gilded highlights.

Authentic pieces generally exhibit characteristic crazing in the glaze, hollow construction with a small ventilation hole, hand-painted details with slight variations, and the weight and patina associated with 19th-century earthenware.

These items can be displayed on mantels, bookshelves, or console tables to add a touch of historical character and traditional English charm to contemporary or eclectic interior schemes.

Preserve them by dusting gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoiding harsh chemical cleaners or immersion in water, keeping them away from direct sunlight and areas of high humidity.
