This eighteenth-century Spanish Baroque centre table is fashioned from walnut and fruitwood in a warm brown honey colour with a lustrous finish and visible patina. The rectangular top displays a carved foliate moulded edge with carved corner masks, resting upon fluid scrolled trestle legs that terminate in scroll feet. Wrought iron stretchers and exaggerated sweeping iron supports with scrollwork ends join the base underneath. The piece measures 78.7 cm high, 144.8 cm wide, and 83.8 cm deep. Positioned as a statement piece in a gentleman's library or principal reception room, the table offers a generous surface for display or study while anchoring the room with architectural presence. The combination of carved timber and dark metal elements allows it to coordinate with traditional or eclectic interior schemes where historic craftsmanship stands out.

Spanish tables from the 18th century are identified by solid wood tops, carved trestle legs, and forged wrought iron diagonal bracing stretchers known as fiadores.

Craftsmen primarily utilised native hardwoods such as walnut, chestnut, and fruitwood, paired with hand-forged wrought iron for structural support and hardware.

Authentic pieces feature hand-carved joinery, iron stretchers affixed with period-correct fasteners, rectangular plank tops, and natural hand-rubbed wax patination.

These tables function effectively as focal centrepieces in large foyers, standalone library tables in study spaces, or contrasted against clean architectural lines in contemporary settings.

Dust surfaces regularly with a soft cloth and apply a clear beeswax polish periodically to protect the wood and maintain its historic patina, keeping the piece away from direct heat sources.
