Description

19th century swedish alder root square tilt top table circa 1860.

Good quality piece of mid 19th century swedish furniture, using alder root veneers to make a near square top surface.

Tilting top stands on a stained turned birch tripod base.  3 legs terminating on a pad foot.

Good rich colour and patina.

Expected natural shrinkage and slight warping to top surface.  when tilted the top surface does not stand vertical, this could be corrected with additional catches, which could be done upon request.
