This wonderful William IV walnut and mahogany folio stand is a true English country house piece. The lotus turned column on four carved supports. In turn support two slatted hinged leaves on a brass ratchet mechanism. The cords are missing but could easily be replaced, though are not necessary to the working of the stand. This is a wonderfully elegant piece of countryhouse furniture. Of a most attractive soft mellow colour. It would stand well
In any period or contemporary interior.
