Bound in red crushed half morocco with cloth covering to the boards.
Tissue guarded frontispiece to each volume showing Garrick's Drury Lane and The Kembles' Covent Garden, both from old engraving.

Externally both volumes are in fine condition, with light shelf wear only, save for some splitting to the hinge of the top board to volume I and a little evidence of cracking to the bottom part of the hinge to volume II. Both are intact and show no signs of cracking/splitting to the interior. Internally clean but showing some light age toning. Remnants of removed bookplate to the front paste-down of volume I and an unused bookplate placed over a previous owner's bookplate to the front paste-down of volume II which also has the book plate for M H Goldberg to the rear paste down, albeit upside down. Height 19.4cms, depth 13.6cms and combined shelf coverage of 6cms. Total unpackaged weight 1.4kgs.
