Description

This wonderful large pair of wine bottle coasters are made of Old Sheffield Plate and are decorated with embossed grape vines and grapes. The pieces date to c1800-1840 and are of good heavy quality. The rare metal interiors sit on turned wooden bases, which are felted underneath. They are particularly impressive objects.
In good condition with some copper bleed and slight black age spotting to the interiors as would be expected with age and use.
