This fine large pair of bottle coasters are made of Old Sheffield Plate. Marked for the two stars of highly regarded maker Matthew Boulton and dating to c1820. With beautiful embossed edges, turned wooden bases and blank central buttons. Elegant and well made pieces. Felted to the bases.
In good condition overall with no dents or splits. Some copper bleed to th eembossed edges and one coaster is very slightly loose to the base.
