Steven Swann Antiques has dated this Cantilever Haberdashery Display Cabinet to the 1950s.
The front is inscribed in gilt lettering: “Clark’s Anchor Stranded Cotton for Embroidery”.

Each level is divided into eight sections, originally intended to hold bundles of embroidery thread in different colours. The contents are included in the sale.
The cantilever mechanism opens by lifting the rear pull while steadying the lower front knob.

Condition Report
In excellent antique condition, with minor wear to the oak finish. Two of the lower internal dividers have bowed slightly, likely from prolonged pressure against them. This is noted for completeness and may be possible to improve by carefully countering the bend over time.

The photographs form part of the condition report, so please review them carefully. Further images or a video viewing can be provided on request. Viewings are welcome at our Southampton unit, strictly by appointment.
