The English Interior has dated this Japanese Imari Porcelain Dish to the 19th Century.
This highly decorative dish has a scalloped, fluted rim with subtle ribbed contours running down toward the center. It features the classic Imari colour scheme—cobalt blue, iron-red, orange, green, and accents of gold over a white porcelain glaze.

A central vertical oval medallion framed in dark cobalt blue contains an intricate floral vine pattern with blue leaves and small orange blossoms. On the left and right sides, curved lobed panels outlined in deep red, cobalt blue, and gold contain detailed depictions of exotic birds (phoenixes or hōō) perching among green foliage and blue blossoms.

At the upper and lower ends, scalloped light green borders frame stylized chrysanthemum floral sprays. Surrounding these cartouches and panels are intricate background fill patterns, including blue and orange diamond lattice (shippo or geometric netting motifs) and scrolling gilded tendrils on cobalt blue bands.
