This nineteenth-century French Empire console table is made from flame mahogany with warm brown tones, grey speckled marble, and brass hardware. The piece has a rectangular marble top, a single frieze drawer fitted with an oval brass pull handle adorned with a starburst motif, and cylindrical column front legs set with decorative brass bands at the top and base. Below, a curved, shaped lower shelf connects the supports, leading down to block feet resting on the floor. Standing at 81 cm high, 53 cm wide, and 33 cm deep, this compact item fits well in a narrow hallway, a compact bedroom, or against an empty wall space in a living room as a decorative surface for displaying small lamps or vases.
