Victorian Oak D-end Extending Dining Table with Single Leaf, Circa 1870

Description

A charming Victorian oak extending dining table, circa 1870, featuring a beautifully figured top with rounded D-shaped ends and a moulded edge.

The table extends by means of a winding mechanism, operated using the accompanying original-style winding handle, and is fitted with a single additional leaf.

Raised on four substantial turned legs terminating in brown porcelain castors, the table has a lovely warm colour and attractive grain throughout.

A practical and versatile dining table, comfortably seating eight people when extended.

The top has a pleasing natural appearance, with signs of wear and use consistent with its age and character.
