Victorian Mahogany Brass Bound Stick Stand

Description

An unusual Victorian solid mahogany bow fronted brass bound stick stand with flat rear for flush standing against a wall c.1880. The stand constructed from mahogany strung with strips of fruitwood giving a pinstripe effect. The moulded strips secured by the brass bindings, which are each secured by large decorative brass rivets. Moulded plinth to the base forming the foot and flat solid mahogany rear panel with cut out handle to the top. Original removable painted steel liner to the interior.
