Antique Ebonised Aesthetic Style Floor Standing Easel

Description

A striking antique Aesthetic Movement ebonised floor-standing easel. The easel features an elaborately decorated architectural crest with gilt-painted detailing, turned spindle decoration and shaped supports, raised on a tall four-legged frame with extensive turned detailing and stretcher supports. A particularly decorative and unusual example.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with signs of age and use commensurate with its years. There are surface scratches, marks and areas of wear to the ebonised finish, with some minor losses and rubbing to the decorative gilt detailing. The turned supports and frame remain structurally solid and sound. Overall, a striking and decorative example with good character and patina.
