Specimen Wood Plant Stand or Torchere C.1900

Description

Superb quality and very elegant tall specimen wood parquetry and inlaid plant stand or torchere c.1900. 8½" square top with serpentine sides featuring striking parquetry work design in ebony, satinwood, walnut and mahogany. Moulded sides with matching inlays continued on the shaped apron and down the legs. Slim tapering and shaped legs, flared outwards at the base for stability. Joined with a pierced stretcher featuring a parquetry star at the centre and further inlaid detail. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
