Description

This Pair Of Ebonised Highly Decorative Torcheres would make a statement wherever they were placed in a room. With a substantial triangular platform base to aid stability, they are of a particularly good weight.

Embellished with a profusion of ormolu mounts, allied to the gold detailing in the carved decoration, they make a very impressive sight. The tops have inset marbles that show good veining, to offer a practical surface area.

Presented in particularly good, restored condition, this substantial pair of Torcheres of good quality would make a very eye-catching addition to any home.

This pair of nineteenth century French Napoleon III torcheres is made from ebonised wood accented with ormolu and brass. The pieces are finished in black with gold incised gilt detailing and feature turned upper shafts and scrolled tripod bases. Ornate metal mounts decorate the shaped stepped bases, while the substantial triangular platform bases aid stability. Each torchere stands 110 cm high, 48 cm wide, and 48 cm deep, with a top diameter of 28 cm.
