Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Doulton Lambeth stoneware refers to art pottery produced at the Lambeth factory in London during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These ceramics are recognised for hand-carved, incised, and beaded decorative schemes executed by individual studio artists.

Victorian ewers were typically crafted from high-fired stoneware or earthenware, decorated using hand-applied slipwork, incised line art, and coloured metallic oxide glazes. Salt-glazing and cobalt enamel interiors were frequently applied to provide durability and decorative contrast.

Authentic pieces feature impressed factory marks on the underside, including the Royal Doulton or Doulton Lambeth stamp, often accompanied by production dates and artist monograms incised directly into the raw clay.

A stoneware ewer functions effectively as a focal decorative piece on a wooden sideboard, console table, or fireplace mantel. It can be displayed independently as a sculptural vessel or styled with dried botanicals to complement modern or traditional interiors.

Dust the ceramic vessel regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Wash gently by hand using lukewarm water and a mild detergent when necessary, avoiding abrasive pads, harsh chemical solvents, or submersion in dishwashers.
