Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This Sheraton period tea table dates from 1800 and is fashioned from warm brown Honduras mahogany. The semi-circular folding top features a figured grain, cross-banded borders in tulipwood, and boxwood string inlay. The frieze incorporates delicate string inlay alongside carved shell work capitals set above slender square tapered legs. The timber displays a polished finish. Measuring 73 cm high by 92 cm wide with a depth of 45 cm closed and 90 cm open, this piece adapts easily to a narrow hallway or a compact living room wall space. The fold-over top provides a functional surface for display or serving when needed in a home setting.

Sheraton period tea tables, originating in late 18th-century England, feature Neoclassical proportions, straight tapered legs, and decorative timber inlays.

Cabinetmakers predominantly utilised solid mahogany, such as Honduras mahogany, accented with satinwood inlays, boxwood stringing, and veneer detailing.

Authentic pieces display hand-cut dovetail joints, original wooden double-hinge mechanisms for the folding top, and age-related patination on unexposed surfaces.

Positioned against a wall as a hall table or console, it functions as a narrow display surface for table lamps, decorative ceramics, or framed artwork.

Keep the wood away from direct heat sources and sunlight, dusting regularly with a microfibre cloth and applying beeswax polish occasionally.
