Victorian majolica is a type of lead-glazed earthenware produced predominantly in the mid-to-late nineteenth century. It is defined by its relief-moulded ornamentation and vibrant, translucent coloured glazes applied directly to the ceramic body.

Victorian majolica was constructed from earthenware clay bodies fired at low temperatures. Metal oxide glazes, including copper for green, cobalt for blue, manganese for brown, and antimony for yellow, were pooled into low-relief details to create depth.
