Description

This trapping would have been tied around the camel's neck with the tassels flapping about in order to keep away flies. Made by Timuri tribes within the north-east Persian and north-west Afghanistan border area at the end of the 19th century, the trapping is complete with tie-cords at each end.

Size: Each knotted-pile panel is 89 x 12cm (2' 11" x 5").
