London City Antiques has dated these Mahogany Serpentine Console Tables to the 1920s.
The central neoclassical carvings with draped swags add a refined decorative touch and give the tables a very sophisticated appearance. The rich mahogany has a lovely warm colour with attractive figuring across the tops.

These versatile tables can be used separately as console or serving tables or placed together to form one impressive larger table making them ideal for dining rooms, entrance halls or entertaining spaces. Pieces such as these were originally designed for grand homes where they would have been used for serving food and displaying silver, porcelain and decorative objects during formal occasions.

A refined and highly decorative pair with elegant proportions and superb craftsmanship.
Condition
Very good antique condition with age related wear and minor surface marks consistent with age and use.
