Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Georgian style is characterised by classical proportions, refined craftsmanship, and the use of quality timbers such as mahogany, reflecting architectural influences of the 18th and early 19th centuries.

These pieces were predominantly crafted from solid hardwoods like mahogany and oak, often incorporating secondary timbers such as pine or deal for secondary framing elements.

Authenticity is identified through traditional joinery methods such as hand-cut dovetails, timber shrinkage patterns, natural oxidisation, and hand-finished surfaces consistent with period tools.

An antique table adds historical texture to a contemporary space when contrasted against neutral walls, minimalist lighting, or modern abstract art while serving a functional purpose in a hallway or living room.

Preservation involves maintaining stable room temperatures away from direct sunlight and heat sources, applying natural beeswax periodically, and avoiding silicone-based polishes.
