Splendid large majolica ware jardiničre in stand by the French makers Sarreguemines (of the town with the same name in North East France) c.1880. 14'' diameter jardiničre (height 14'') raised on the original column with 16'' diameter base. Both modelled with acanthus form decoration, in a rich red majolica glaze with gilded detail. Pale blue interior to the jardiničre bowl. Clear set of marks to the underside. Excellent condition.
