A finely executed carved oak lectern of pronounced Gothic Revival character, distinguished by its rich surface carving, architectural form, and solid craftsmanship. Constructed from well-figured oak with a warm, mellow patina, the lectern is designed with a sloping reading surface surmounted by a raised book rest, suitable for liturgical, academic, or ceremonial use.The front elevation is centred by a deeply carved foliate roundel, framed within a rectangular panel, exhibiting confident hand-carving with crisp detailing and strong relief. Below and to either side, the structure is articulated by open Gothic tracery panels, lending both visual lightness and architectural rhythm to the form.
